Hill Aerospace Museum

We used this museum as an excuse to visit Ogden, the last city in Utah we had yet to visit. There are only four cities in Utah. They had three different full size atomic bomb replicas.

Park City Resort

I skied solo at Park City and took it easy after the beating I took at Alta. If Alta is Ceder Point then Park City is Disney World, seldom thrilling yet always pleasing. There were more families, more foreign nationals, and more gimmicks. It had its own ice skating rink and zip line.

Deseret Books

The Mormons have their own book store and it is as creepy as it sounds.

Banksy in PC

Banksy is an anonymous world renowned British graffiti artist who specializes in political art. Park City protected graffiti that attacked the nature of the town just for the prestige.

Scenic Park City

Park City is like the a more expensive short north on a hill. The latest Traveler's Insurance commercial, featuring dogs, was shot in Park City.

Alta

Alta is in the Little Cottonwood Canyon and typically get the most snow of any resort. Ryan and I skied 'til we hurt. The chute in the first picture is Baldy's chute. The final two pictures are views within Alta.

Bonneville salt flats

The salt flats seem endless. The surface was very flat, very hard, and very grippy. I slammed on the brakes and didn't tear up the salt, only left tire rubber on the salt. The rental car is governed at 103 MPH by the way.

DINOSAURS!

Some of the the Sinclair gas stations have fiberglass dinosaurs in front of the station. I love it.

My nemisis

Loratadine and I are waging a war here in Utah, but Sherman seems to have the upper hand at every turn.

Christmas morning

Three pounds of junk bacon was way cheaper than one pound of regular bacon. This year Christmas spirit smelled like bacon.

Christmas Eve dinner

We ate at the Goldener Hirsch which is an inn as well. The restaurant is in Deer Valley at the base of the ski slope.

My Home in Utah

This is the view from Andy's parent's apartment. Andy's mom says these are the ugly mountains. The pretty mountains are on the other side of the apartment where the ski resorts are located.

Vegas to Utah

Interstate 15 in Arizona goes through the Virgin River Gorge. I-15 was the most expensive interstate per mile when it was built.

Hot N Juicy Crawfish

Andy and I got 2 lbs of crawfish a piece. The sauce was a hot mix of every seasoning on the menu. The second picture is Andy playing with the heads.

The Gun Store

The Gun Store is a touristy gun range in Vegas where Andy and I shot hand guns. Andy shot a Colt M1911 while I fired its replacement, the Beretta M9.

Winged Figures of the Republic and other awesomeness

The Hoover Dam was full of cool stuff including all marble bathrooms with unique urinals.

Hoover Dam

We drove to the Hoover Dam our first morning in Las Vegas. The second to last picture are eight of the total sixteen power turbines. The last picture is an electromagnet from one of the idle turbines.

Driving to Las Vegas

For the most part the drive to Las Vegas had no obstacles so the interstate was ridiculously strait. We only only seemed to be on the strip at night so this picture is all I got.

Top Deck of the Midway

I got to sit in a training fighter jet that nearly fit. The second picture is from the bridge toward the bow of the ship.

USS Midway Dentist

This plexi-glass model was built well before the USS Midway. Even then the blue marker denoted the dental office. They had the dental lab and the chairs of display.

USS Midway

The USS Midway is now a museum in the San Diego bay. The day we visited was also the day that TCU and LA Tech, the participants of the Holiday Bowl, had a luncheon on the ship. We got $2 off as a result... nice. As I search for my place in life, I know it is not in the navy due to the head room. A lot of parts on the carrier were made of brass and gave a remarkably classy appeal.

Burritos at El Tepeyac Cafe in East LA

They should have sent a poet.
